How long does it take to get a book I requested?

If an item in our catalog, BRiAN, is "in transit," it should take around 2-3 weekdays to reach its destination. There is no courier service on weekends so those days don't count in that total. If your WCPL hold seems to be taking a long time to arrive, please call or visit your local library.
If you requested an item from another library system through Interlibrary Loan, it will generally take 2-6 weeks to arrive. If you have questions about ILL or if your ILL request is taking a long time to arrive, you can:
- Check your request's status in our ILL system
- Email firstname.lastname@example.org
- Call 919-250-1205
AskWCPL is available
Mon-Fri: 9 AM - 5 PM
We are not available when the library system is closed for a holiday or inclement weather.
